The Great Adventure Catholic Bible studies provide the easiest way to understand the Bible and experience the life-changing power and love of God’s Word. Join our friendly study groups to discuss the readings and share your understanding. Then watch a video and discover in a simple way the rich story woven through Scripture so that you can make truthful sense of it. Many of our Parishioners, as well as hundreds of thousands of people, have found their lives enriched spiritually and socially. No prior Biblical experience necessary. Bible studies meet weekly at St. Paul of the Cross in the morning and evening and refreshments are provided.
We are excited that the planning for reopening our Adoration Chapel is well underway. As we prepare to reopen, we will need to begin filling slots to ensure that our Eucharistic Lord is never left alone. The Office for Catechesis is devoted to helping children of our parish become closer to God by becoming fully initiated into this community of Catholic faith. Our office directs and organizes the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation for the children of both the School and Catechesis program.
We also direct the religious formation for the children in our parish attending public school. Our primary goal is to provide parents with the support to raise your children in the Catholic faith and build a family life which is built upon and completely intertwined with that faith. It is an honor and a privilege to serve and support your family!
At St. Paul, we believe we should offer our families choices, making their Catholic faith as accessible as possible! Each year we offer several options to choose from including a class for special needs children!
To read about all of our current options please go to the Catechesis website to read more details.
In Catechesis, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students participate in service each year to prepare for Confirmation. Some of the Service projects our students have completed are: helping out in the lower grade Catechesis classes; making shoeboxes for shut-ins; working on the Centennial Garden; altar serving; participating in Feed Our Starving Children; visiting senior facilities with homemade cards or singing for them; SPC Food Pantry collections; garden work at the front of the Kinane Center; helping out at various festivals at St. Paul and PR elementary schools. The list goes on and on!
