Seven Sisters and Six Brothers Lay Apostolate

Do you want to join a devoted group of men and  women that pray and fast for our Pastors?  

During these challenging times, our pastors need our prayers and fasting. Please join the Seven Sisters and Six Brothers Lay Apostolate for our Pastor(s), Our Shepherds, of the O’Hare Grouping of Parishes: Immaculate Conception, Mary Seat of Wisdom, Our  Lady of Ransom, St Paul of the Cross, and St Juliana. 

As a lay member sister, you would independently pray a holy hour on a designated day of the week for our pastor(s). As a lay member brother, you would independently fast one designated day of the week for our pastor(s) Couples are most welcome to join as  a lay sister and a lay brother together. This is an independent devotion that you do on the day and time you decide.  

This generous commitment of one hour per week of prayer or one day per week of fasting is asked for a period of one year, but can remain open-ended in time as each individual discerns his or her call to continue  

You will be part of an international organization and will receive a monthly newsletter with inspiration and faith-based witness from other sister and brother apostolates from around the world. 

At times we will gather as a group to share a meal, pray, faith-share, and offer witness to our devotion. This dedicated devotion is life-transforming for everyone involved. Our next gathering is September 23, 2024 @ 6:30pm.  

Please join us in prayer. Masses on Sunday, September 22 will have mass intentions for the Apostolate and there will be additional information in the back of church.
