Parish Picnic! Faith, Food, Family & Friendship

On Sunday, September 8th, our faith family gathered together. Beginning with a family Mass at noon celebrated by Fr. James, students served as lectors, readers and Eucharistic Ministers. Following Mass, all parishioners were invited to join in the fun in our transformed parking lot.

Decked out with tables and chairs, Rita’s Ice Truck, Malarkey’s Beer Truck, Jimmy John’s sandwiches and chips, home baked goods from parish students and families, and games for the young and young-at-heart, with background music from our own DJ, Mark Miller, everyone had fun! The weather was perfect both outside and inside where the Bears game played (and they won)! Many thanks to the student and adult volunteers who helped with set-up, serving, games and clean-up; our Maintenance crew, Joe Levander and Jack Trojan; and especially our Parish Council members who coordinated the event: Siobhan Haugh, Melissa Arnold and Chris Poindexter…and last, but certainly not least, thank you Fr. James for bringing back the Parish Picnic!
